ABOUT CAIPORRI
Caiporri is a group of beautifully renovated farm houses and a medieval watch tower. The main farm house belongs to the owner, the artist Jean Tori, who lives there all year round. The houses are stone built, with beamed ceilings and tiled floors, carefully restored and furnished with traditional Italian furniture and Asian antiques.
All the properties have paintings by the artist, (details are seen throughout the website) and there are also original works by a collection of artists from around the world. The houses are completely equipped with central heating and hot water. There is a full complement of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils in every kitchen, which is fully equipped. Towels and bed linens are also provided.
These comfortable houses stand in their own ground and gardens (11 acres) on a hill top with an impressive view across the Upper Tiber valley. Above the property is the historical Sanctuary of the Madonna di Canoscio. All around is the enchanting Umbrian landscape of medieval villages, woodlands, and vineyards, carefully tended by the local farmers.
In this green region of saints extraordinaire, sunflowers, Giotto and Sagrantino wine, Caiporri is an ideal location for relaxing, eating, leisurely walks and visiting Italy, and Umbria in particular. The houses are rented by the week or for the weekend.
